Dungeon Blaster (2024)

Dungeon Blaster is a fantasy Match-3 RPG where you lead a party of 4 to victory through enemy waves to progress to the next dungeon! This game is the project I'm most proud of because I was given total creative freedom and control over how the project was run, meaning I delegated and oversaw all responsibilities. The following is a result of a 2 month plan to prototype my vision.

I came up with all of the mechanics, which included but is not limited to: matching sequences for characters to perform special moves, elemental advantage, attack types, upgrade system, battle system, progression system. There was a lot more I wanted to add such as unique enemy mechanics, board-altering attacks, more heroes, better attack animations, and a hero summoning system. One day, I hope to return back to this project.

Blingdoms (2022 - 2023)

Blingdoms is a 2D platformer where players can create levels and play other people's levels! This was the first game I was the creative lead for. I was in charge of most of the creative decisions that made the game fun. My most notable contributions were the level creator where you could place and remove blocks, play your level, and save/upload it. I was also in charge of all the types of blocks.

While Blingdoms has yet to see a full release, my contributions have laid the groundwork for its future success. Unforeseen deadlines had sidelined its development, but I hope to revisit and realize its full potential in the near future.

Bling Platform (2019-2023)

The Bling Platform brings together all the games from Bling and Playday Studios, allowing players to earn Bling Points simply by playing these games. These Bling Points can then be exchanged for various rewards, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USD. The platform offers a diverse selection of games, including match-3, card games, and bubble shooters. I helped develop a lot of the features that made Bling into what it is today.

Word Breeze (2021)

Word Breeze offers players a serene word game experience, where they connect letters to form words and complete the board. Each level immerses players in a nature-themed ambiance, accompanied by calming sounds and effects to enhance relaxation while they ponder their next move.

Sweet Bitcoin is a candy-themed Match-3 puzzle game where players can swipe to swap candy tiles in any direction to try to clear tiles to finish the level requirements. This was the second game that Bling wanted to bring a mascot to life in their games, so some animation work was involved.

Block ARhythm (2019)

Block ARhythm is a rhythm game where notes not only come from the front, but from the sides as well. The player controls colored barriers and uses them to block the notes incoming from all the sides from hitting the center, but only one barrier can be active at a time. I added the capability of being able to play in Augmented Reality on the phone, but I personally enjoyed it more without it. I believe that I can return to this and flesh it out with enhanced mechanics later.

VR Simulation: Wildfire (2019)

VR Simulations: Wildfire is a research project that simulates a scenario in which the user is caught in the middle of a wildfire to see what courses of action the user takes. This was actually an existing project that I took over since the original project developers graduated. I was mainly in charge of just fixing errors that would arise during the playthrough. For example, in the video gameplay linked, there was an audio issue during the presentation that would loop endlessly, which is now fixed.

VR Puzzles: Combination & Permutation (2018)

VR Puzzles: Combination & Permutation is a research project that aims to test the player's understanding of combinations and permutations by having them solve puzzles using both as concepts to escape a trapped room. Each puzzle has statistics to display the number of possible guesses to the solution. The project was showcased at Cal Poly Pomona's 13th Annual Science Research Symposium.

Below Haven (2018)

Below Haven is a project I developed in a team of 5 that made for my game development class. The idea for the game was heavily inspired by the series Made In Abyss. This is a 2D game in which the player has to travel underground to discover treasure and riches, but the levels and enemies get harder as they venture further below. I found assets and implemented the animations and scripts for player controls, UI, and audio.
